About Neil
I'm not here to tell you how to live your life.
You know your life better than I ever will. My job is to listen, ask the questions that need asking, challenge you when it's useful and help you get clear on what you actually want.
I've spent a large part of my working life helping people make decisions, perform at a higher level and move forward.
I've built and run my own business, spent years in high-performance sales, worked with people making significant career changes, and coached and trained people in different parts of their lives.
But my experience isn't only professional.
Like most people who've lived a bit of life, I've had to work through some difficult things myself. Times when the answer wasn't obvious, when things didn't go according to plan, and when I've had to stop, reassess and work out what happens next.
That matters to the way I work with people.
It means you don't have to turn up with everything figured out or even know exactly what the problem is. Sometimes the starting point is simply knowing that something isn't right, something needs to change, or there's something you need to work through.
I'm comfortable starting there.
I don't believe any of my experience means I have the answers to your life. What it gives me is perspective.
I know how to listen. I know how to ask questions. I know how to challenge an assumption without telling someone what they should think. And I know how valuable it can be to have someone outside the situation helping you see what's actually going on.
That's how I approach coaching.
I'm not the problem solver. You are. I'm the guide.
We get clear on what you want, work out what's getting in the way and build something practical around what happens next.
As things change, we change with them.
Because the goal isn't for you to become dependent on me.
The goal is for you to become clearer about what you want, more deliberate about the decisions you make and better equipped to keep moving forward.
